With the advice and training of an experienced flight instructor and professional pilot you will be taught how to take off, handle the aircraft whilst in the air and how to make a smooth landing. This is definitely one for all those pilots aspiring out there!
After being welcomed by your instructor you will be thoroughly briefed about the basics of handling a plane whilst in the air and on the ground. You will also be given all the information you need to know regarding the RedBird FMX – full motion flight simulator.
You can choose one of the options for your flight simulator challenge:
1. Place to place: Captain an aircraft on a short haul cross-country sector following real world procedures! After selecting a city pair from our menu you'll plan your flight, start up and get the flight underway!
2. Scenic flight: Pick a city and fly over to see its famous landmarks and monuments. Fly above the Eiffel Tower in Paris or a city of choice in Australia and or any location. The choice is yours.
3. Take-offs and landings: Here's your opportunity to practice the most challenging elements of flight. Squeeze in as many take-offs and landings as you can, or fly a real-world route in real time- the choice is yours. Think you have everything under control? Be on the lookout for reducing visibility, a gusting crosswind or perhaps the dreaded engine failure on take-off! Challenging approaches - pick from our assortment of challenging approaches.
4. You're the captain and where you fly is up to you, it can be as thrilling and challenging as you make it. Would you like to fly a difficult route to Queenstown in a snowstorm? After that, perhaps a scenic descent into a Great Barrier Reef sunset. There's a whole world of options, and the choice is yours.
It's the time to climb into the simulator and put your new knowledge to the test, you advance the throttles and your aircraft hurtles down the runway and takes off.
You’re airborne, you can start to relax and appreciate the stunningly realistic scenery. You don’t have too much time for sightseeing; you need to manage your air speed, maintain your altitude and watch your heading. You need to be aware of any other traffic in the area, and monitor a dazzling array of screens and indicators.
Now for the greatest challenge!!
It’s up to you to manoeuvre your aircraft to set up for the landing.
Lower the undercarriage & align with the runway on your perfect approach.
The runway rushes up to meet you and you must judge a gentle ‘flare’ to slow your rate of descent and smoothly touch down on the centerline.
You will also have a photo opportunity at the end of your flight session.
Voucher expires 3 months from date of purchase. Extensions are available to compensate for Covid - 19 induced restrictions and lock-downs.
1. Redeeming Your Voucher
To redeem your voucher, please visit our online website www.flyamber.com.au/my-booking or email your request to info@amberaviation.com.au
2. Booking Changes and Cancellations
All booking changes or cancellations must be requested by email to info@amberaviation.com.au with invoice/order number, desired flight date and time, recipient's weight and contact details as well as emergency contact details.
Once you have made a booking enquiry and has been confirmed by email, cancellation charges may apply if you are unable to attend.
An administration fee of $45.00 will be charged for booking changes where there is greater than 1 day to the confirmed date.
Changes within 1 day of the confirmed date will be subject to a $75.00 administration fee as a minimum.
If you do not show up for a Flight Experience and you have not changed the booking at least 24 hours prior to the booking time, your Voucher will be cancelled without refund.
If for reasons outside of our control (weather, availability etc.) we had to cancel the experience we will contact you as soon as possible to organise another suitable time. There is no compensation applicable for any cancellation. Refunds are only applicable by flight credits and at the operator's discretion.
If the duration of your Flight Experience is reduced as a result of any of your actions, including but not limited to, your late arrival, your request for a toilet break, sickness or any physical restriction you experience during the session, you will not be entitled to any compensation or a refund.
3. Vouchers
Voucher expires 3 months from date of purchase for all of our promotions.
Vouchers can be extended for a period of 1 month for a fee of $75.00 (must be done within 7 days of original expiry date).
A voucher can be re-activated within 30 days of it becoming expired for a fee of $75.00. The voucher will be valid for 1 month from the date of expiry. Vouchers are non-redeemable for cash and are non-refundable.
4. Restrictions
The minimum age is 12 years. There is no maximum age. Maximum weight for this experience is 85 Kg. If this limit is exceeded, an additional charge of $45.00 per 10kg will apply.
People with special needs - please contact the Flight Operations prior to purchasing or booking this voucher.
For security purposes you must present a form of photo identification with your Voucher before you will be granted entry to the Aircraft. Entry to the Flight Experience will not be granted if you do not produce appropriate photo identification, in which case your Voucher will be cancelled and you will receive no refund.
5. Session Length
Session lengths are only an indication of the time you will be at the venue. At most venues you will take turns with members of the public and waiting time may be involved.
6. Dress code
Casual comfortable clothes including proper footwear (No Sandals, slippers or high heels).
7. Other Information
Where a DVD recording of a flight has been pre-purchased or requested on the day and for any technical reason Flight Operations or the Provider is not able to provide the appropriate recording within 8 months you will only be entitled to a refund to the value of the DVD recording. No additional compensation will be given.
Flights are conducted subject to weather and operational status. Due to weather or operational requirements the Company duly reserves the right to cancel any flight at its sole discretion.
